Cher was on Oprah last week with Tina Turner! They performed together again just like old times! Cher looked so much like her daughter Chastity Bono! Yes, there was the blonde hair….but even her face……! Aha!...then it clicked! It was the nose! Not Cher’s signature nose of yesteryears!
Along with her “schlock culture” show with Sonny Bono she had abandoned her nose and the unwanted avoirdupois of middle-age! Her re-emergence once more as the svelte Cher was complete with a brand new nose! Tough, tough as nails, Cher did what she felt she had to rather than walk into the sunset in anonymity. She succumbed to the knife and transmorphed into a gutsy, contemporary performer who relates very well with baby boomers. She has signed on to perform 200 shows over the next three years at Ceasars Palace in Las Vegas! It was a sold-out crowd at her premier in May this year. She’s already creating quite a sensation!
Said Cher, after her first movie, “ I looked at myself up there on the screen and thought, I’m all nose.” So first stop, rhinoplasty (nose job)! If one were to take a trip down Cher’s plastic fantastic past, you can bet your bottom dollar there would be a tummy tuck here some liposuction there, maybe some plumping up in the facial area to banish age-lines, some breast augmentation and a blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) to combat the encroachment of age.
Cher definitely got some tattoos removed and had a couple or more face lifts. Bob Mackie relishes the idea of designing for Cher once more. “Who else can we do clothes like this for if it's not Cher?" he’s ready to admit. He’s ecstatically creating 17 more looks for his daring client. Each outfit comes complete with matching, wig, headdress or dazzling accessory. Cher is making a comeback once more as a formidable fashionista, goddess and diva thanks to her new voluptuous figure, exotic looks and outré style.
At 62 Cher isn’t reining it in by any means. She remains to this day the only artist of her gender who has had a top 10 hit every decade for the past 40 years. She has won a Grammy, an Emmy, Golden Globe and an Oscar. Sexagenarian or not Cher sure doesn’t hesitate to show some skin. And with her gorgeous, once more taut and wrinkle free looks she’s bound to wow Las Vegas!
Cher, obviously has no plans to age gracefully. “In my job becoming old and becoming extinct are one and the same thing” declares the poster girl for Plastic surgery and sequins! No truer words were ever spoken for goddess, or diva or everywoman!
